Summary:

My client is in need of an experienced Business Development professional to drive pre-sales activities including lead generation and marketing, and then assist with closing orders. You will cover the US territory from a California office.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess potential clients and schedule sales meetings with system manufactures such as lasers, spectrometers, etc.
  • Report sales activities and trends to VP of Sales
  • Work with Engineering in providing technical specifications and requirements as requested by customer for systems
  • Attend meetings and exhibits in the optics community.
Requirements:
  • Experience selling optical sub-systems, modules, etc
  • MS degree in Optics or related field; MBA ideal
  • 7 years proven sales experience in optics/photonics 
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 50%
