The Inside Sales Engineer is the primary support resource for our client’s customers and outside sales team. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with the outside sales team as an adviser and product advocate. The Inside Sales Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for customers and technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist outside sales team in executing and achieving their territory sales goals 
  • Resolve internal and external technical support requests or issues related to product selection, application, specification, installation, etc...
  • Prepare and process quotations, receipt of order, order entry, shipment and delivery of order, and resolution of return requests and quality issues
  • Extensive interaction with customers and sales team via phone and email.
  • Occasional travel as needed with outside Sales Team and trade show activities.
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.
  • Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a professional and satisfactory manner
  • Maintain professional business relationships with target or assigned accounts.
  • Provide status of ongoing business directly to the President
Qualifications include:
  • AA/BS in Optics, Physics or related field
  • 2 years inside or outside sales experience, or possible entry level with specific BS degree in Optics/Photonics
  • Experience or proven knowledge of optical systems and optical theory
