Project Manager, Optical Systems

Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for managing new product development projects from product definition to product design, development and transfer to production. This individual contributor reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for scheduling, budgeting, defining, and proper allocation of resources for each project.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage projects within cost and schedule as defined.
  • Guide individual engineers through the scope of the project.
  • Communicate and update milestone dates, budgets and work assignments to each engineer and as a team. 
  • Guide teams in all technical and business issues related to the scope of the project.
  • Develop processes and procedures throughout project life cycle.
  • Lead collaboration and teamwork.
 Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or higher in an Engineering. Physics or Optics
  • MBA ideal.
  • 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with optical systems or sub-stems
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ERP
  • Experience with new product development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage team and utilize hands-on skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
