SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:


Very confidential opening from a new client that is starting up a new optics business unit, with a prototype imaging product that is being released into production to fill orders with their existing customers. The qualified candidate will have proven competencies in developing and maintaining automated test solutions, experience with miniature optical components, analog circuit design, circuit board layout, software programming (LabVIEW), hardware implementation and system troubleshooting. Knowledge of structured hardware and programming principles and methods are required along with a working understanding of fundamental test development process concepts such as development lifecycle.

The candidate will require proven experience with optical modules and miniature optics.
                                                                                                                                                                               
 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Working with suppliers to identify automated production test systems and integrate into a robust manufacturing process
  • Hardware Design, modify, implement, simulate and debug analog circuits for test solutions, Write test software with LabVIEW
  • Manage and optimize test systems which include MTF test, Image Test and VCM testers.
  • Troubleshoot test system hardware and software problems
  • Specify requirements for the design of test fixtures that include mechanical and optical components
  • Develop test solutions according to the established test development lifecycle methods and guidelines
  • Use and help administrate established processes and tools including configuration management software, issue/bug tracking software, and change control (ECO)
  • Build and maintain working relationships with key individuals in other groups both locally and abroad
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering plus a minimum of 7 years engineering work experience
  • Or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years engineering work experience
  • Lens or Optical Module test experience. Understand Optical Performance
  • Experience programming with National Instruments LabVIEW (Certified LabVIEW Developer preferred)
  • Knowledge of structured hardware and software programming principles and methods
  • Global manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Demonstration of proven test system development is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential
  • Must be precise, organized and autonomous
